I read a post recently on facebook which i'd rather term a rant. The writer was talking about how "all Nigerian Pastors" now talk about sowing of seeds as the only means to being successful and how the likes of Bill gates, Dangote, Alan Paul etc. all worked so hard to get to where they are today.
I didn't have any problem with his rants, where my issue came was his generalization. All Nigerian Pastors? Really? This is another issue we are having as people, as a nation. We are so quick to generalize things or situations.

The fact that you see one or two "pastors" who would cajole people into sowing seeds all the time just to be rich doesn't mean we should generalize all pastors calling them names. Ha. Thank God for God's Grace and mercy and as well for Jesus coming down to die for us. Since his crucification on the cross that unavoidably tore the veil, Grace has been given to us freely. But trust humans, we are all taking it for granted. These kind of writeups are the ones that can kindle God's anger against the wrier. Remember Miriam in Numbers 12? It is by His Grace that we are not consumed but let's not take it for granted.
So tell me, which fallacy of generalization do you know of and how did you debunk them. Maybe we should make this topic a weekly thing and learn a thing or two, yea?
Lots of Love,
Oma!
