DIY Projects: Bouquet

Hello There,

How are you all doing? It's weekend already! People are planning their turn up already, some others have started turning up since the first crow this morning. Some people sef....wetin??? una too like turn up..haba!!!
My sister would say "if i don't turn up, who should?" and i agree with her o jare....if not for anything...for the reason for the season??? Is it easy to see today?

So i happen to be someone who enjoys doing stuffs....just anything! I can remember growing up....i would bake bisquits....extract juice.....make skirts with needle(those skirts were never worn)....i made just about anything i came across or thought of. Let me be honest...they didnt always turn out to be nice or usable, but i didnt relent because the commendations i got from my mama was priceless! I always want to impress that woman(good thing??).
Enough of my preaching.

So a friend's wedding is coming up and i offered to do her bouquet for her....mind you i have never really done it before....just saw where it was done. She agreed and off we went to the market and she chose the types of flowers she wanted. She didnt pick what i liked though...but then again, it isnt about me...right??? Its what she wants...all am to do is guide. Everything we bought was about 2600 naira. We got home, she told mehow she wanted it to look and i got to work. This is the end result. I apologise..no before pictures...i didnt remember to take pictures. Emabinu!

I tried?????

So what do you think????

It takes less than a few moves!

Hello beautiful ones!

How is everyone doing? Happy tuesday and "mid month".....its no crime if i say "happy mid month" na....abi na only new month dem dey greet? lol...

Talking about Mid month....can't belive its the 16th day of the last month in 2014 o. So tell me, how has the year been so far? Achieved all you planned? Yes???? No???? Almost all???? Don't fret....you still have 15days left to achieve all. See you....you don't even believe it. Tell me again, who is your father??? Cause mine is the God of all impossibilities! Yes, HE alone can do the unimaginable....1st Cor 2:9.

Do you know why i am so convinced God is going to give us all we desire before the year comes to an end? Okay this is it. I was playing candy crush (am an addict) on a friend's phone and i got to this level that required me to get 89420 in 30 moves. I started playing till it was just about 13 moves left with my score being just 28240. Chaiii...."i have failed this level nii"....that was my thought, until from nowhere, i saw my score as 89480 with 2 moves left. And it struck me...

And i got the 3stars! *dancing Ebio*
Don't get it twisted o.....am waaaaaayyyyyyyyy past  level 20 oooo for my candy crush saga addicts like me. *shines teeth*

Everything might look blurr right now....but just take those steps. It's just less than a few moves. Just Believe.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Hello there,
How are you guys?......each time i use the word "Guys", i remember my mother. Anytime mama hears me say guys, especially when am referring to her and papa, she would be like, "hmmm, Oma, so we are now mates that you insult us?" *blank stare* huh??? Insult ke??? since when???? I have heard a lot of parents complain about this, even some ladies, cutting you short whenever you call them guys. Wait o.....na say i say "how are you guys", bring all this talk? Ha! Oya, how are you people? lol.....But really, is calling elders, parents and ladies, guys, an insult? Please lemme know in the comment section. Tanchu so musshhhh.....

source

It got me thinking, why is the phrase "Be careful what you wish for" attributed to neative stuffs only? I say, "i wish for an american lottery", people would say wishful thinking or shrud it aside with "you wish". I say, "i wish Goldstar would buy me a Royce Rolls (yay me...i remember the name of a car) just as Steve Harvey, "hahaha, you wish", would be their reply. I wish my soft invisible beards would grow out more, "Be careful what you wish for". I want to get a mansion by the time i attain silver jubilee......"hahahaha...you wish".

Why do "i wish" for the positive things and should "be careful what i wish for" on the negative things. Just why???

They say, there is power in our tongue. Why then do people not believe in the realization of the positive remarks we make but believes in the negative ones. Why????

P.S: Nothing would give me greater pleasure than knowing your thoughts as well. Your comments are always welcomed....keep them coing! I would always reply, i promise.

My Hair!!!

Hi,

Its been sometime now that i blogged now, not that i do not want to but, life is happening too fast.

Sogie nominated me for the versatile blogger award (will get back to it). This post is about my HAIR!!! I attach too much importance to this hair...why??? Cos it's MINE, yes.....all mine.

So after my Teacher/Boss/Instructor yabbed my hair, that my hair is always in corn-rows and "unkept", i decided to surprise her and show her how versatile my hair can be explore with my hair a bit.

For 2weeks....i played with the hair style-wise. Firstly, i shampooed, conditioned and moisturized, after which i twisted the hair. Left it over night. The next morning, i unraveled and styled. The twistout, i was happy with.

The scond look was an afro look (this is my go-to-style). I deep conditioned, moisturized and used thread to stretch my hair, i made isi owu, the yorubas call it kiko. I left it for 2days, then loosed, combed my hair out and styled.

The highlight of my day was when my Boss saw me and was like "finally, Oma you decided to get a weave, nice." Boy, did i laugh??? I sure had a good laugh....had to tell her twas my hair and you needed to see this lady arguing with me like say na her hair oooo. I was feeling fly.
My friend who then in school criticized my decision to go natural, pinged me to tell me she is considering going Natural because of my hair. Did i hear someone say God be praised! Halleluya!

When you begin to get comments like this, it means you are doing a tqeeny weeny bit of something right, yes? It's been over a year post-relaxer, 9mnoths post BC and the journey has been......stressful yet exciting. Yes, stressful, i wee nor lie...it's with days like this, that all the stress gets washed away just like a woman who gors into labour and after the birth of the new life, considers not the pain.

Lots of Love,
Oma!
